About
Emily Amelia is a furniture maker based in Cockpit Arts, London, crafting organic sculptural pieces of furniture from wood.
Growing up around England in the North York Moors, Devon, Lincolnshire, and Yorkshire, and training in the South Downs in Sussex, has given Emily a deep connection to the natural world which has no doubt influenced her choice of medium and the biomorphic forms of her work.
Emily is delighted to be the current recipient of the Worshipful Company of Turners Award at Cockpit Arts, London. She is currently experimenting with the possibilties of turning as part of sculptural furniture making.
