About
Emily Rowley is the founder of Emily Amelia, she is a London based furniture maker crafting organic sculptural pieces of furniture from wood.
Training in the South Downs in Sussex and having grown up around England in the North York Moors, South Devon, Lincolnshire, and the East Riding of Yorkshire, Emily has a deep connection to the natural world which has no doubt influenced her choice of medium and the biomorphic forms of her work.
Emily is a current recipient of the Worshipful Company of Turners Award at Cockpit Arts in Deptford. She will be exhibiting her ‘Moonlight Bloom’ Collection at Future Icons Selects in May 2026.
She has also recieved Worshipful Company of Art Scholars Bursary Award to further her studies and has exhibited her ‘Moonlight Bloom Lamp’ with the Furniture Makers’ Company at the New Furniture Makers Exhibition in October 2025.
She graduated with a Distinction from the Fine Furniture Making Course at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation.
